Webster Springs is a welcoming town. This summer will mark 47 years of work camps in this area, begun by Rev. Bob Bondurant, former pastor of Upperglade Presbyterian Church. WVMAW has partnered with the Webster County Workcamp to help bring hope to families in this area of WV.
ACCOMMODATIONS are a collaboration of the Baptist, Methodist and Catholic churches. They have cots, showers and fully equipped kitchens. The churches will provide evening meals for many of the nights you are there!
SURROUNDING AREA—there is a grocery store nearby. There are some small cafes and fast food restaurants. Many folks enjoy The Custard Stand with their locally famous hot dog chili!
Greg Flanagan has been working with neighbors during the flood, and has been helping to lead and teach WVMAW teams during recovery.
Jimmy Utt has been volunteering as the director of Webster County Christian Workcamp since 2003, but has been helping out since he was 8 years old! Jimmy and his wife Luella love to work with the teams. His “day job” is with Central WV Aging Services.
